About

A quiet desk for loud ledger questions

White Pine Ledger Review exists because fintech operators in Taiwan needed auditors who understand settlement files and control narratives without turning every engagement into a software pitch.

Origin

The practice began after repeated board weeks where finance leads could explain product growth but struggled to show how partner settlement batches landed in clearing accounts. White Pine was formed to offer independent audits for fintech that stay close to the paper trail — ledgers, bank advices, and the people who close the books.

Working approach

We prefer evidence before workshops. Samples are selected from your actual period, interviews follow the exceptions, and findings are written so a controller can assign owners without translating jargon. When on-site time helps, we work near Taipei; otherwise the review proceeds remotely with disciplined file intake.

Values we keep visible

Independence means we do not sell bookkeeping retainers that would conflict with an audit opinion-style memorandum. Clarity means findings name accounts and dates. Respect for your close calendar means we sequence remediation against month-end reality, not an idealized flowchart.

People on the engagement

Each review is led by a named White Pine reviewer who stays with you from scoping to the closing briefing. A second reader checks sample exceptions before the memorandum leaves our desk. We introduce specialists only when settlement or readiness work needs deeper partner-file fluency — never as a revolving cast of anonymous analysts.

Credentials we claim are practical: years spent inside fintech close cycles, board pack challenges, and pre-licence evidence binders. We are not your statutory auditor and we do not issue licensed assurance opinions under Taiwan company law unless a separate formal arrangement is agreed in writing.
